The Navigator Resource Guide on Private Health Insurance Coverage & the Health Insurance Marketplaces answers over 300 frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the private insurance reforms of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including the health insurance marketplaces, patient protections, and financial assistance. It is intended to supplement the Navigator training provided by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Resources. The FAQs provide assisters with an understanding of federal laws. These state fact sheets spotlight several areas in which the state-to-state variation in policy will affect consumers’ coverage options.
