My employer didn’t provide my enrollment materials on time although I’m eligible, and as a result, I missed the company’s open enrollment. Can I apply for marketplace coverage? Or is my employer required to give me a second chance to enroll at work?

If your employer failed to provide you enrollment materials on time and, as a result, you missed your opportunity to enroll in your employer’s plan, you can ask your employer for – and you must be offered – another opportunity to enroll. If you think your employer is violating this requirement, contact the U.S. Department of Labor at 1-866-444-3272. (45 C.F.R. § 147.104).
